Logic of a 7-month-old
(Or lack thereof.)
A few words from Luke:
I love Old MacDonald and all farm-animal sounds. I would love to be a farm animal, actually. So somehow, I need to keep myself smelling gross, and then I can be like my animal friends. I think if I scream loudly enough while Mom changes my stinky diaper, she might give up and let me smell like a farm all day.
I love Dad's ethernet cord that he has hidden under the couch. (Hidden! Ha! They think they can trick me.) I will do anything to get that cord. I burrow under the couch like the squirrels I see outside. But the real fun is that since there's a cord under the couch, I figure there must be a cord under every other piece of furniture, too--so I spend at least an hour each day checking.
I hear my mom complaining that she doesn't have as much time to clean anymore. But that means FUN for me! There are these colored spots on the linoleum that she calls "stains"--but boy are they thrilling. Yesterday I spent 15 minutes trying to pick one up. After all, I know that anything that has a color on it can be picked up and eaten.
It's fun to hear my mom say "Yucky" really loudly, so I keep eating the edge of my toy basket to hear her say "Yucky" again and again.
If I grin charmingly enough she'll let me get away with eating a hairball off the carpet.
Spitting out mango feels good as it slides down my chin.
Falling down in my crib is usually fun, but when I fall down stiffly like a redwood tree, my head hits the wood and it hurts! I keep trying, though. I don't think I'll get brain damage.
When I wake up from my naps now, it's boring just to lie there splatted. I like to stand up and circle around my crib. It's especially exciting to cruise to the far corner of the crib, hidden from the door. When my mom comes in to get me from my nap, she can't find me anywhere! It's fun to give her a scare.
Tofu is only good when my mom sprinkles salt on it, but raisins are always yummy--especially when I find them on the floor.
I like being a baby because it's the only time in life when my fuzzy white hair and the cellulite on my tummy and thighs get me all sorts of attention and make people call me "cute."
If you zoom in on this picture, you can see my bottom teeth! I have eight teeth now, four on top and four on the bottom. I really like the symmetry.
This is what I mean by fuzzy white hair--but my dad does a real good job of making it spikey-like.

By the way, these shots are of me in the trunk of my parents' car that they just bought! I squished them out of their old one--my car seat took up too much room. It is my great-grandma's car. I think she would love that I get to ride in it now.
This is a picture of me playing with my best friend, Timothy. He lives so close, and I play with him almost every day. I'm getting nervous, though, because he's almost as big as I am, even though he's four months younger! Yikes.
Timothy and I are best friends because we get scared by the same things. Like those bright lights that blind us when someone takes our picture.

This is a picture of me, standing at the basket that I love to chew on. You wouldn't think it was yummy by the looks of it, but it is. You should try it sometime.

Here I am by that basket again. I can't tell you how much fun it is!
Now that I'm a big boy, I'm allowed to try new foods. Some are more fun to play with than they are to eat.
My parents have picnics with Timothy's parents. Sometimes I'm naughty and zoom around trying to eat grass, so they have to put me in the Jumperoo.

Not all the food they give me while I'm in my Jumperoo tastes very good!
Timothy's parents' camera is a lot better than my parents' camera, and they like to take pictures of me. Here are a few. (Side note: I love when my daddy holds me, but sometimes it's embarrassing when my milk belly shows.)
Well, I guess that's all I have to say today. I love you!
