Quotables

Richie: "OUCH!"
Bethany: "What are you doing, Luke?"
Richie: "He says, 'I'm pulling Daddy's leg hair!!!'"
--- Luke is getting more destructive. Everything is in reach, now that he's cruising around with a well-developed army crawl; and since he's still teething and discovering solid foods, everything he reaches for is delicious. Dad's leg hair included.

Richie: "Son, I need to teach you a lesson about gravity."
--- Said as Luke dug his elbows in the bed and dragged his stiff body fearlessly to the edge of the bed. He's getting dangerous.

Grammy: "Luke is the family's pet performing monkey."
--- He's cheap entertainment, with tricks up the wazoo. Squats, spitting, singing, dancing with his "happy feet," bouncing so hard in his Jumperoo that his head looks like it might fall off.

Richie: "Why did we move home? We could hand him to Grammy right now!!!"
--- Our first night back living at our apartment, Luke refused to go to sleep. Quote is now fully understood by all.

Richie: "Good thing he has a second set of teeth coming in, or else he'd need babybraces."
--- With two teeth on the top and three on the bottom, Luke is looking mighty cute these days. However, all of his teeth have significant space between them. Glad these ones aren't permanent.

Shiloh: "Luke has lint in his neck rolls."
--- Presence of lint confirmed. We now wonder what's hidden in the even deeper rolls of his thighs...

Trying hard to "really" crawl. He's awfully close!

Comin' at ya...

Planted in little girlfriend Shealyn's backpack.

"Hey! This was a mean trick. Get me out of here!"

We celebrated our third wedding anniversary July 9th. As much as we love our little Bean, we loved seven hours without him that day... (Thank you, thank you, Grammy!)

The day after our third anniversary, Luke turned one-half. Here he poses with Dad for a photo shoot.

Happy 6 months, our little Determinator!

Some things haven't changed.

Changing Luke's diaper has gotten awfully tricky. He rolls around at lightning speeds. During this diaper-changing session on the floor, he rolled over and grabbed Poppy's bocce set before Bethany could even open her eyes from a blink.

Playing with Little Miss Shealyn.

"Yikes, Mom! She's kissing me!!!"

"Well, maybe I did kind of like it."

We couldn't get them both still for a post-kiss photo.

There's a reason we called him "Armstrong the Determined."

Yeah, yeah, very funny.

Debut of high chair that Poppy painted red, the same high chair Bethany sat in as a baby. (So did Shiloh, so did Gracie...) Debut, too, of Cheerios! Way to go, Lukey!

The best bib in the world: nudity.

No caption can do this photo justice. What a kid.

"Cheerios: A Rite of Passage"

I wonder if General Mills has a clue about Cheerios' significance in babies' lives? :D

I'm still laughing at the mental image (and the photographic one) of Luke with Sarah's glasses on!
