First Mother's Day
Kind of.
Last time, Luke made an ant look enormous; he dirtied far fewer diapers; and he was the nameless, genderless "Armstrong the Determined."
This time, he went in the car with Daddy, bought his mommy dinner, and signed his mommy's Mother's Day card with a precious scribble. (Then, of course, he stuck the pen in his mouth.)
Hanging out with the trees on Mother's Day.
Have to steal those kisses while I can still get 'em.
Forget Mom; I want to stare at Daddy.
Gracie surprised Bethany's mom for Mother's Day by driving home from North Carolina and walking right into the house. Fortunately, no one had a heart attack.
We're very happy to have Gracie around. Who else looks this glamorous with crutches?
Richie and Luke go adventuring. (Sitting on the end of a slide is about as adventurous as Luke's life gets.)
Ooh, look at that brow.
Continuing on our walk with Cranky Baby.
No matter what his mood, Luke generally gets a huge kick out of watching Bethany sing and play the guitar.
We tried our best to catch his precious grins.
But mostly we got 37 shots of his stares.
Here, Luke is splatted on the bed while Richie makes him laugh. (Which happens often, by the way.)
What a lucky kid: a Bounceroo AND a pacifier.
Luke shows his friends he loves them by biting their heads off.

Luke has many friends at Orchard Park whose heads he does not try to bite off. This is his best friend, two weeks older than he is, who sometimes speaks babytalk with him (but usually screams). She is always with her grandma, who speaks Mandarin; Luke is always with his mom, who speaks English; and we have discovered that gestures and grins are really all you need to communicate with someone.

See, we weren't kidding. She usually screams. (Click on the photo for an up-close view. It's priceless.)

LOVE the first shot! Love the Sisters shot. Happy First Afterbirth Mother's Day! (ewwwwww!) ;) You're the best mom I know (Aunt Robin is your closest competitor, though! I learned nearly everything I know from watching her, so you owe her big time!)
Sigh. Love your blog. It's my entertainment between checking my ornery 14-page bibliography (speaking of ewww!). Luke is amazing and such a fashion icon. I'm taking notes so I can buy Alexander cute little man things. (Are you supposed to use those three words together? cute. little. man.)
i think if luke screamed all the time like that little girl, i don't think i'd hang out with him as much. either that, or call him those three awkward words: cute. little. man.
Luke is already in love with an older girl? I mean, two weeks doesn't sound like much, but if you're only 5 months old, it is. He already towers over her, it looks like in that last pic.
I love "tuning in" to see how big Luke is today, and
what expression you were able to capture.
But I'll tell you what - that little china doll baby
got me!
