Three-Month Checkup
Today Luke wiggled and squirmed for his doctor, who declared him "wonderful." (See, we're not biased. It's official. If Dr. O says so, it must be true.)
Here is our "wonderful" boy reduced to a list of numbers:
Birth: 7 pounds, 2 ounces (below average)
Now: 14 pounds, 11 ounces (70th percentile, compared to other baby boys his age)
Birth: 21 inches long (90th percentile)
Now: 25.5 inches long (still 90th percentile)
Head circumference: 60-something percentile
Weight-for-length ratio at birth: off the charts (poor little long, skinny thing)
Weight-for-length ratio now: on the charts (hooray), nearing the 25th percentile
So that's our little guy in a nutshell. Luke has to keep up this growing business so his cousin Alexander doesn't catch up!

Yay statistics. And yay being on charts! :) Glad all is well. We will deliver a wet kiss to Alexander from Luke this weekend.
three months already..wow! he looks like he has lots of personality already!
I don't think he has a chance against Alexander the Great. That must be why he keeps practicing "the wild hand"; I think he's hoping to intimidate. Or at least hypnotize. And if Alexander still doesn't show him proper respect he'll run around naked and pick his nose. THAT'll win Alexander over. (See "The Ethics of Boyhood" p. 191)
Long and lean... hmm... who would have guessed!?
