Our Baby Keeps Growing
An ounce a day is the average weight gain for a little tyke like Luke. He has gained almost twice that. Milk. It does a baby good.
Posing for Baby GQ.
Training him young for a career as an astronaut or pilot. No motion sickness here.
We're never sure whom he prefers: the person holding him, or his little red blankie. (Probably his blankie.)
Good thing we're a big fan of toads and frogs... Check out the legs. Now we have a frog of our very own.
Caught in a giggle-fit before bath time.
Not sure he likes grass.
Luke loves his baths! When he hears the water running, he closes his eyes and ceases all grumbles, as if utterly hypnotized.
See, we have a frog. Look at that tight, round little belly!
"Oh dear, daddy, where are you taking me to NOW?"
On Sunday, we took a morning trip to Pinole for a walk along the bay. Luke hates his car seat, so we stopped what seemed like every few minutes to take him out of the car and assure him that we had not abandoned him. A normal 45-minute trip, our drive back to Davis took a couple of hours. We were reminded of how things change when you have a baby... And we laughed together and decided that it's okay. (Although now a road trip to San Diego in April seems daunting. Don't think Richie could get the 5 weeks off work it would take just to get there.)
Having fun on a highway off-ramp. At this stop, Luke got his diaper changed, he practiced driving the car, and his parents witnessed a three-car accident on Highway 80. Glad we weren't on the road!

Loved!! the pictures. The one of him laughing is priceless. His second bath picture reminds me of you when you were an infant, Bethany (and no not the belly but the head/face). :) Glad to see you're getting out and about (or oot and aboot to you Canadians) with weekend road trips. See you soon!
wow bethany, he looks so much like you did when you were little. i remember it well... haha. i see he can hold his head up now, and laugh. both good things. i think he got his round toad belly from me. and he's getting so much bigger! i can only tell by how big he looks when you or richie are holding him. as soon as i can get a hold of a 6" unicycle...
