Eep, eep!

We realized the other night that rearing Luke is kind of like having a pet monkey.

Luke has had to have banana-flavored medicine squirted into his mouth four times a day for fourteen days. Although monkeys supposedly like bananas, you can tell by his face that this little monkey would rather stick with milk.

Sweet evening with wonderful Uncle Shiloh. (And Friend Glowworm, too, of course.)

Hang on tight! This is one wild rocking-chair ride!

"Hey, Dad, how did your hands get so big?"

Switching positions every 3 minutes is the key to contentment.

You've heard of "camera shy." Now it's "camera scared-out-of-your-mind."

Oh, that's better. Luke starts chatting his fears away.

And after jabbering about how scary cameras are, he's happy again.

Grammy took Luke for an evening walk. No blanket for this guy, nope. He's tucked right into Grammy's down jacket. Ahh.

Sunday afternoon Luke spent two hours sleeping in his cozy Bjorn with his daddy.

Male bonding.

Whee!

"Whoa there. Why are you taking my picture?" Because you're cute.

It's 4 A.M. and somebody's wide awake...

Not only wide awake, but perfectly happy.

Not only wide awake and perfectly happy, but wildly thrashing his legs.

Now it's time to be serious.

But he couldn't keep the serious look for long.

And now it's 4:30 AM and somebody's still wide awake and perfectly happy.

Luke gets a facelift on both eyelids at only 9 weeks of age.

Luke wears his first bib, upon which he spits the whole mouthful of banana-flavored medicine.

And here he wears his first sun hat. (Thanks, Audrey!) Boy do we love living in California...

Staring at his daddy.

Trying hard to talk.

Some veeeery cute noises came out.

Only the most talented of little monkeys can play piano with their toes.

Wait...is that comment too dated? If so, have Kim sing the "Five little monkeys jumping on the bed" ditty.
