Due Date
Babies don't rely on calendars, we've realized. Today's the due date. Does Baby care? Um, no.
Today is the fourth straight day of contractions for Bethany. 5 minutes apart on the dot, for the most part--although this morning for a couple hours they were 2-3 minutes apart and sent us into a tizzy. The midwife assured us that the "real" thing will really hurt, so until Bethany's grimacing in pain and unable to utter a word during a contraction, it's all a cruel fake.
So far the contractions have been completely painless. Bethany's been having fun feeling a rock-hard belly every 5 minutes. Ab workout, anyone?
Will keep you posted...

If this baby is born today (or even tomorrow), you can add another adjective onto its name. Instead of just Armstrong the Determined, s/he can be "Armstrong the Determined and Punctual"!
Thinking about you all...
When will the baby come? Dad would say, "Nothing before its time." Mom would say, "In the fullness of time." Trouble would say, "I will not share my attention with another." And finally, Sarah would say, "Don't know, can't tell - weird, isn't it?"
Not sure if it's legal for Dad and Mom to select their names in advance. Don't grandparents usually get stuck with whatever the baby is able to pronounce? I'm pretty sure Pop-pop's name wasn't self-selected. :)
