Apple Hill, Flat Tires, and 2AM Shenanigans

The Sorbello family took their annual trip to Apple Hill to find the perfect Christmas tree. (Always a matter of much debate.) This time the Armstrongs had to take their own car, because... well, Luke. Luke donned seal feet to keep his feet warm. Although only an hour away, Apple Hill was COLD!

He took a turn in people's jackets.

Luke HATES wearing hats (or anything confining, for that matter), so we bought him one that ties at the bottom. He strangles himself trying to get it off. Strangled is better than cold, we figure.

The happy three.

He spies the perfect tree...

Oh, maybe it was just a stick that caught his eye.

The whole Sorbello clan.
On the way back, Luke was exhausted. We were dreading the car ride back, but after a few minutes of singing in Luke's ear, Bethany lulled him to sleep (is she that boring?) Truly, a Christmas miracle.
Luke even slept right through a tire change! (Way to go, Richie, whipping out those manly skills.) Yes, we heard that infamous thumpity-thump, thumpity-thump and knew it was time to pull over...
Luke's new pose.
When Luke goes outside, he breathes an "oooooo" of awe. He loves the world and everything in it. This particular photo captures his fascination with a leafblower.
Leafblower, continued.
Luke has a new favorite book. It's a book of photographs showing opposites. The first page shows a hand open and a hand closed. When you pull out the book, before you even get to the first page, Luke will try to open up his hands like the picture. It takes a lot of effort!
There is another page showing a water bottle and then a smashed water bottle. He slaps the page when we say, "SMASH!"

Gracie came over to hang out with the Lukester and entertained him with a bit of guitar. He took his turn too, and showed her how he can strum with the pick! (No joke. He actually knows what he's doing.)

Last night Luke pulled an 11:30-3:30 party on us... but he sure was cute and rather chipper despite being sick (again!!!)

1/2 British and 1/8 Italian, Luke was feeling patriotic at 3AM.

And this is at 3:12AM. He's not actually asleep. He's just pretending! Another of his tricks. We say, "Go Ny Ny, Luke!" and he pretends to be asleep. Too bad actually getting him to fall asleep isn't that easy!
Wish us sleep...

Awww, cute cute pictures. And we do wish you sleep, perchance to dream.
Ny ny, Luke!
Ny ny, Bethany!
Ny ny, Richie!
three and a half handfuls.
Richie... very impressive with the tire change. I have yet to learn the skill, but Sam knows so it's all good. :) Gotta stay away from the road, though!
jinx, personal jinx, Grace... you can't comment again until I say your name. ;)
Should've noted that although it looks like Richie may get hit by a car, he is actually one lane away from the slow lane. He was closest to an onramp lane that nobody used. (Thought that picture might scare you all.)
Shi, you married a good one. :)
