A Haircut!

Uncle Shiloh came over on Saturday night to trim up Luke's ever-growing hair. The sides were longer than his ears, and the back tufted over into a pretty good mullet.

So it was time.

(Of course, Sam, Daniel, Poppy, Grammy, Sarah, and Gracie all came over to watch too.)

Thanks, Uncle Shi! You did an impeccable job.

First step: Donning the barber cape. Luke seemed disturbed, confused as to what happened to his arms and legs.


Next, Uncle Shiloh showed Luke the clippers so he wouldn't be scared.


Then he showed the rest of us how far he could stretch out Luke's hair.


"I don't know about this..."


"Mom, this is scary..."


"Somebody, come help me! Pleeeease!"


"WAAAAAA!"


Soon enough, Luke mellowed out, still leery of what was happening to him, though.


"I just might survive."


"Yes, please, family. Keep singing to me. It will help get me through."


"If I lean away from him, will he stop sooner?"


"I'm actually starting to feel proud of myself." (We were very proud of him, too. He stayed so still!)


Lest Luke get all the attention, we must note that Richie got his hair cut, too. (But haircut #200 isn't quite as special as haircut #2...)


Bethany's mom has worked hard to get all of the old family pictures scanned so we can all have copies of them. We were stunned when we came across this one. Does it not look exactly like Richie??? (It's Pop-Pop, Bethany's dad's dad.)


Luke has been enjoying seeing Auntie Sarah a lot lately. Here they do a big "no no" and watch TV together. (You can't resist Cosby.)


Our sweet little pumpkin in the giant pumpkin Poppy grew. Nice work, Poppy!
