Roly Poly Big Boy
Luke is maturing far too quickly, and we want to press "pause"!
He is laughing often: when we tickle him, suck on his fingers, bounce him on our laps, make funny sounds, and squeeze his thighs; and once he chuckled loudly when Bethany was dressing him. We have yet to figure out what was so funny about that.
Yesterday, when he turned 15 weeks old, he happily and purposefully rolled over from his tummy to his back! He pushed his little behind way into the air like a little stink bug, swung it to the side, and vroom! Flopped onto his back. He's now doing his little flip trick regularly.
On Tuesday, our little roly-poly-stink-bug put himself to sleep three times. We didn't know he was capable of such a feat. Without so much as a fuss, he rested on his tummy in his crib and was busy slurping on his hands. The slurping suddenly stopped, we peered in, and there he was, fast asleep. Classic Mom: Bethany got emotional, feeling no longer needed; Classic Dad: Richie was elated. No more bouncing the baby, shhhing him, and dancing around the room to his cassette tape. Sniff.
Getting better at holding his head up.
Well, hello!
Mr. Serious.
When all else fails, just hold your nose.
Luke was given a "Bounceroo" and looooooooves it. Again, Mom feels unneeded, and Dad is ecstatic.
Simple joys.
Splat. (A photo taken right after he rolled over.)
And another photo of the freshly rolled-over superboy.

Cute! Your blog can serve as a "what to expect week by week" for new parents. Wonderful.
We're back from NY. We fell in love there. Alexander is a miracle.
We taught him pat-a-cake. :)
Maybe SuperBaby knows sign language and was holding his nose to ask you to change his diaper? ;) See? You are still needed after all!
Great photos.
