To everything (turn, turn, turn)...
There is a season (turn, turn, turn)...
Many of you know that Bethany's grandma (her mom's mom) passed away last week. This came as a surprise to us all, and it has been hard. We had just helped move Nana in to a new apartment in Davis, when she was hospitalized and never came out. She never got to see her wonderful new apartment, which makes us sad for her. But we remain sad only until we remember God's promise in the Bible that whoever believes in Jesus receives eternal life, so we think of how much better her apartment in heaven must be!
In the midst of sadness, God blesses us with many happinesses. Here are some pictures to document our lives as of late...

Here is Bethany's mom (center) at the funeral with her two sisters, Robin (left) and Rhonda (right, who flew out from Georgia).

Sarah turned 30 this month! So we skipped out on childbirth class and went to her surprise party, where everyone wore red (her favorite color) and brought her a Diet Coke or pickles (her two fetishes).

Sarah was so surprised that we were worried for several seconds while her face was white and motionless...

Richie and Bethany with the beloved "Mr. Roger," Bethany's next-door neighbor throughout her childhood.

Happy Birthday, Sarah!

Two of Bethany's good friends put on a baby shower for lots of ladies at their church. Here are 4 of the 5 Sorbello girls at the shower. (We were missing Gracie, who we SO wished could have been there, but who lives 3000 miles away... Sigh.) Bethany's happy because she got spoiled rotten with lots of great gifts. Sarah's happy because hey, she lives for parties. Mom's happy because she's thinking of sweet grandmahood (countdown: 6 weeks). And Sam's happy because she sees all the gifts and thinks: "Hand-Me-Downs!"

Here's a shot of one of the baby-shower games. The winner not only had to put the baby in the right spot on Bethany's tummy, but also (here's the real kicker) put the baby upside-down. Most people got the baby near the belly, but there were also babies coming out of Bethany's nose, out of her hair, out of her armpit...

Sarah laughed all the way to the Pregnant Paper Bethany...

And Sam laughed too.

Re the three sister picture, Richard says we should dub the photo "The Squinter Sisters." (Where ARE our eyeballs, anyway?)
And the shower looks fun, especially "pin the baby on Bethany" game. Would that babies came out of armpits. Sounds easier and tidier. Noses? Um...no. :)
