Life keeps coming at us...
Richie and Bethany, sittin' in a tree,
T-A-L-K-I-N-G,
First comes love,
Then comes marriage,
Then comes a baby in a baby carriage...
Since we now have more to share than 16 hours a day of studying and our weekend roadtrips, we figured it's time for a new website to keep family and friends posted with the latest happenings in our lives.
Bethany is now almost 4 months along with the little one we have nicknamed "Armstrong the Determined." The name should be self-explanatory...
This site won't have cute pictures of a newborn until January, but until then, you might get to see pictures of Bethany growing a watermelon under her shirt and Richie surfing as many waves as possible until Daddyhood washes him ashore. (Or until we buy a baby-wetsuit and teach the little munchkin how to surf.)
Enjoy.

This is Bethany before she left for her last day of teaching. It really was the last day of teaching--1-1/2 months pregnant on the last day of school, she sent in her letter of resignation and will not return next year, so as to save up her energy for changing all those diapers. She loved it out there, though, and will go back to sub and teach lessons here and there.

Richie busts out the frisbee skills.

Bethany's friend Liz came for two weeks in June, and they enjoyed busting out their frisbee skills too.

Raaaaaar. Liz, Richie, and Bethany went camping at Sunset Beach.

Richie surfed while Liz and Bethany "watched" (i.e., talked). Then Liz insisted on a romantic photo.

"See? Doesn't it look so inviting to just jump in and ride the waves??!!!"
"No...."

For our 2-year anniversary we roadtripped it up to Fort Bragg. A kind lady from Oklahoma saw us sitting on a rock and offered to take our picture. Sure, why not.

Mmmm, ice cream and root-beer floats at CowLicks ice cream shop in Fort Bragg.

Richie BBQs it up with friends J.D. and Taylor.

Please examine the bocce-ball locations and try to guess who won. The next two pictures are a hint.

"MAN!!!"

"La dee dah... ain't it great to be the winner..." (Sorbellos? Competitive?)

Congratulations! Speaking from experience I can tell you that God's blessings are just beginning for your little family. And someday you'll be glad to live vicariously through your determinied little offspring.
Bethany and Richie: I'm so glad to hear all is going well with your little one. I really enjoyed your pics, nice blog! Take care. Uncle Richard
Good blog. Richie, I like the new barbecue. Very pleased to see the nice fire you started and the large log you were in the process of adding. Nothing better than the excitement of building and experiencing an inferno when camping.
